The central theme of this pan-Asian Congress, which brought together representatives from India to Japan, was to highlight the similarities and compatibilities between the Buddhist tradition (Dhamma, in Pali, the language of the Buddha) and the Hindu tradition (Dharma, in Sanskrit). The importance of the event can be understood when one considers that the subject affected more than half of the world\u2019s population. My venture into history has the same fundamental purpose as the rest of my work: to integrate and expand consciousness. Far, therefore, from the sterile task of memorising past events, it consists in recovering the example of those individuals and peoples who knew how to carry out this task.
