Ozán Lavoisier’s treatise The Search for Universal Consciousness served as a pillar for reflection at a Congress held in Bangalore in 2023. The presentations given by the speakers at that Congress were compiled and published, and are preceded by an article by our author entitled On Consciousness, which is a synthesis of his treatise, presented here:

The central theme of this pan-Asian Congress, which brought together representatives from India to Japan, was to highlight the similarities and compatibilities between the Buddhist tradition (Dhamma, in Pali, the language of the Buddha) and the Hindu tradition (Dharma, in Sanskrit). The importance of the event can be understood when one considers that the subject affected more than half of the world’s population. From the West, there were only two speakers: Ozán Lavoisier and David Frawley.

My venture into history has the same fundamental purpose as the rest of my work: to integrate and expand consciousness. Far, therefore, from the sterile task of memorising past events, it consists in recovering the example of those individuals and peoples who knew how to carry out this task. It is true that, for some 150 years, mankind has known how to change its circumstances, but these are immediate and practical, in the sense that they attend to its primary needs.
